Schedule A lawsuits explained for sellers

Some US trademark cases name many online sellers in a single complaint, with the individual defendants listed in an exhibit commonly called Schedule A. This page describes what those filings look like in the public record, and what that record can and cannot tell you.

Three things you can check yourself

  1. Find the entity page on this site to see the case number, court and filing date.
  2. Take that case number to the court’s own docket system and read the original documents — the primary source is the court, not us.
  3. If your own store is involved, talk to a lawyer qualified in that federal district. We are not lawyers and we do not act for anyone.
