Amazon account on hold: where to look first

Sellers sometimes learn about a lawsuit only when an account goes on hold, a payout is held or a listing goes down. Here is what the public record can show you at that moment, and the two places that actually hold the answer.

Two different things, two different sources

They often happen at the same time — but only the second one is public.

What the public record can answer

What it cannot answer

Two tracks, at the same time

  1. Platform track: read the notice the platform sent you and answer through the channel it gives you, within the period it states.
  2. Court track: use the case number to read the documents that name you, in the court’s own system. What you may do, and by when, is written in those documents — not on this page.

This page is general information about public court records. It is not legal advice. Whether to retain a lawyer, and which one, is your decision — we are not a law firm and we do not act for anyone. See usage notes and disclaimer.
